Terms of Use

  • This site and all associated services are owned and operated by the SYL Private Club. Use of the site and services implies full acceptance of these terms of use by the user.

  • The main purpose of the site is to provide:

    • Maritime information and resources,

    • Support for autonomous life at sea,

    • Educational content.

    No content constitutes professional advice (legal, medical, or financial). Users are encouraged to consult a competent professional for any specific questions.

    • SYL does not guarantee any particular result from the use of the information or services offered.

    • Content is provided "as is," without warranty of accuracy or completeness.

    • It is the responsibility of each user to verify the relevance and accuracy of the information before making any decisions.

    • SYL disclaims any liability for indirect, consequential, or intangible damages that may result from the use of the site or services.

    • Risks related to maritime navigation are fully assumed by the member.

    • SYL's liability is in any case limited to the amount of the annual membership fee paid by the member.

    • All content, training methods, documents, and resources offered by SYL are protected by intellectual property rights.

    • Any use is strictly limited to personal and non-commercial use, unless prior written authorization is obtained.

    • Training methods and materials are subject to specific protection and cannot be reproduced or distributed without agreement.

  • Access to certain information is conditioned by the member's level of membership.

    • Any unauthorized disclosure of confidential information is strictly prohibited.

    • Any violation of this rule may result in sanctions, including exclusion from the club.

  • SYL reserves the right to unilaterally modify these terms at any time. Members will be informed of any changes.

    • The conditions for terminating membership are specified in the club's internal regulations.

    • In case of termination, access to services and content is immediately suspended, without reimbursement of amounts paid.

  • Any dispute related to the use of the site or services will be subject to mandatory arbitration, according to the modalities defined by the club.

    • The place of arbitration and the applicable law will be those of the headquarters of the SYL Private Club.

    • The user expressly waives any legal recourse before ordinary courts.

     

  • Membership in the club implies acceptance of the inherent risks of navigation and maritime activities.

    • Each member must have the required skills to participate in the activities offered.

    • The personal responsibility of each member is engaged during any navigation or activity at sea.
